BENGALURU:
In a disturbing incident, three individuals have been charged in an FIR for sacrificing a sheep near a revered temple. The incident took place on Wednesday in front of the Patalamma Devi and Safalamma temple, falling under the jurisdiction of the Kadugodi police station.
The swift action was initiated by animal rights activist K.B. Harish, who promptly obtained a video capturing the sacrificial act. The video was then shared on social media platform ‘X’ and subsequently forwarded to the local police and animal husbandry department.
Pertaining to this incident an FIR has been is registered at Kadugodi PS.

Upon receiving this information, the authorities swiftly dispatched a police team to the location. An FIR has been registered against the culprits, namely Babu, Munikrishna, and Muniraju, under the provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter of Animals Act, 1959, and the Indian Penal Code.
Harish confirmed this development. The Kadugudi police have stated that the sheep sacrifice occurred during a village festival.
