The cars, a Volkswagen Polo hatchback, a Toyota Fortuner SUV, and a Mercedes-Benz, had been parked side by side since 9 am on Saturday. Moudgil stated, “We received a morning phone call regarding cash in a vehicle, prompting MCC Nodal officer Nikita to visit the location. I quickly joined her with other officers. Nikita arrived at the scene within three minutes of the call.”

Upon our arrival, we witnessed a person transferring money from a bike to a car, which contained five individuals. Nikita bravely approached the group and inquired about the contents of the bag, to which they falsely claimed it was filled with mangoes. She skillfully led the raid, and our team subsequently confiscated the money found in the two-wheeler,” he explained.

The officers broke the glass of the Benz car, retrieved the bag containing cash, and seized the documents and mobile phone found inside. Subsequently, two counting machines were brought in to tally the cash.

Following the incident, KPCC general secretary Nagaraj and BJP MLA CK Ramamurthy have demanded appropriate action be taken.
