Rakesh (30) reportedly consumed poison before hanging himself

BBMP Joint Commissioner (East) KR Pallavi’s personal assistant Rakesh committed suicide at his residence on Wednesday.
Rakesh (30) had joined BBMP on compassionate grounds around 12 years ago. His father Deveraj, a works inspector in BBMP, had died following a heart attack.
As per sources, Rakesh had not gone to the office and hanged himself at his residence on Wednesday afternoon. It is reported that he consumed poison before hanging himself. The reason for the extreme step is not known. Later in the evening, the postmortem was conducted at Victoria Hospital.
Rakesh was married and has a son. He was working as second division clerk in the civic agency.
