The drivers had initially planned to lay siege to the Minister’s residence, alleging that despite official claims of adequate stock, the ground reality reflects a severe shortage. Many questioned the government’s handling of the situation and demanded immediate intervention.
During the interaction, Muniyappa acknowledged their concerns and promised to take up the matter with concerned authorities. He reiterated that steps would be taken soon to improve LPG availability and ease the hardships faced by auto drivers.
