BENGALURU:

Two major hospitals in the city have been ordered to shut their OPDs for not providing treatment for Covid patients.

Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar and Vikram Hospital in Vasanthnagar were served an OPD suspension order for 48 hours on Tuesday by the district health officer on behalf of the Bengaluru Urban District Commissioner.

The hospitals had failed to reply to a notice by the DC asking about the beds allocated for Covid patients.

A case has been filed against the hospitals under the Disaster Management Act.
