ACB raid on Karnataka forest officer also reveals a note counting machine
BENGALURU:
Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths in Karnataka who conducted raids on 18 officials on Wednesday were shocked to find around 3.17 kg of sandalwood from the house of a Range Forest Officer.
The Range Forest Officer is stationed at Badami city, which falls under the district headquarters of Bagalkote. The sleuths have named him as Shivananda Khedagi.
The sleuths have also recovered a note counting machine from Khedagi’s house.
Sources in the ACB said a note counting machine and 3.17 kg of sandalwood were found from Badami Range Forest Officer Shivananda Khedagi in the district headquarters town of Bagalkote.

Officer’s kin searched
Around five teams consisting of 29 officials are conducting a search at various addresses of Khedagi and his relatives in Bagalkote.
The ACB said those who were raided on Wednesday include Additional Commissioner,Transport, in Bengaluru Gnanendra Kumar, BDA Town Planning Officer Rakesh Kumar, Range Forest Officer of Yadgir Ramesh Kankatte, Executive Engineer of Gokak Basavaraj Shekar Reddy Patil, Vijayapura Nirmiti Kendra project manager Gopinath Malaga, Shirastedar of Gadag district B S Annigeri, Industries and Commerce Additional Director BK Shivakumar, Ramanagara Assistant Commissioner Manjunath, Social Welfare Department General Manager Srinivas, Davanagere Environment Officer Maheshwarappa, Haveri APMC assistant engineer Krishnan, Gundlupet excise inspector Chaluvaraj, NH supervising assistant engineer Girish, and Vijayanagara police station inspector Balakrishna H N.
