Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief Of The Naval Staff Visits Maratha Light Infantry Regimantal Centre At Belgaum

In a historic first for the Regiment, Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of The Naval Staff (CNS),visited the MARATHA Light Infantry Regimental Centre, Belgaum on 19 and 20 Apr 2023.

During the visit, the Chief of The Naval Staff (CNS)visited the training and administrative infrastructure of the Regimental Centre and witnessed the training of Agniveers. He also reviewed the training infrastructure of the Regimental Centre and was updated with the modalities of the training.

Admiral R Hari Kumarwas given the Ceremonial Guard of Honour after which a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony was organised at the Sharqat War Memorial wherein Chief of The Naval Staff (CNS) paid tribute to the brave hearts of the MARATHA Regiment for their supreme sacrificeto the Nation.

The Admiral addressed the troops of Belgaum Military Station and shared his thoughts on various issue ranging from Agnipath scheme, modernisation of Indian Defence Forces, Atmanirbhar Bharat, expectations from present day Soldiersand Synergy and Inter-operability amongst the Armed Forces. The CNS also visited the Rashtriya Military School and addressed the Cadets and exhorted them to toil hard for a career in the Defence Forces.
