A team of Chinese virologists, led by Shi Zhengli from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, has discovered a new bat coronavirus capable of animal-to-human transmission. This virus uses the same human receptor as the virus causing COVID-19, raising concerns about potential outbreaks.
