Rakesh Singh (1989-IAS) to be new ACS to Karnataka CM
No clarity yet on next BBMP Administrator after Singh
BENGALURU:
In a major development, 1989 batch IAS officer Rakesh Singh is all set to become Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The order, which will be with immediate effect, is expected to be issued on Saturday after Bommai returns from New Delhi.
Rakesh Singh is currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary to the Urban Development Department and the Water Resources Department, and is also concurrently BBMP Administrator.

Rajneesh Goel was in running
Sources said that ACS (Home) Rajneesh Goel was one of the front-runners for the post of ACS to the Chief Minister but Rakesh Singh’s name is finalized.
It is not clear who will be the next BBMP Administrator once Rakesh Singh is posted as ACS to the CM.
