Bengaluru, June 10: KG Halli Police have arrested a house burglary accused and recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments worth approximately ₹3 lakh, successfully solving a burglary case reported from HBR Layout.

According to police, a resident of HBR Layout, under the jurisdiction of K.G. Halli Police Station, lodged a complaint on May 29, 2026, stating that an unknown person had broken into his house and stolen valuables during the night.

The complainant informed police that after leaving the second-floor balcony door open and going to sleep, an unidentified individual allegedly trespassed into the house and stole gold and silver ornaments kept inside a wardrobe in the bedroom.

Based on the complaint, K.G. Halli Police registered a house burglary case and launched an investigation.

During the course of the investigation, police teams pursued multiple leads and gathered information from various sources. Acting on specific intelligence, officers apprehended a suspect near K.G. Halli Railway Gate on June 4, 2026.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to committing the burglary and disclosed that the stolen ornaments had been concealed at his residence located on Tannery Main Road, K.G. Halli.

Based on the information provided by the accused, police conducted a search and recovered 34 grams of gold jewellery and 172 grams of silver ornaments from his house.

Police estimated the total value of the recovered property at approximately ₹3 lakh.

The accused was produced before the competent court on June 4, 2026, following which he was remanded to judicial custody.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Division) Dr. Vikram Amate, IPS, and under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (K.G. Halli Sub-Division) Narasimha V. Tamradwaj.

The investigation team, led by Police Inspector B.C. Girish of K.G. Halli Police Station, along with other officers and staff, played a key role in tracing the accused, recovering the stolen property and solving the case.

Police officials said the timely investigation and recovery of the stolen ornaments helped prevent further disposal of the valuables and ensured their return to the rightful owner.
