BENGALURU: A 14-year-old girl, studying in Class 9, died a painful death after consuming herbicide, due to the negligence of her parents in Byatarayanapura on Mysuru Road.
Nidhi Krishna would consume aloe vera juice for health reasons, but her parents had filled herbicide in one of the bottles. On March 14, the girl consumed the herbicide thinking it to be aloe vera juice and fell sick.
Nidhi was admitted to the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital, but did not respond to treatment and died on March 31. The incident occurred in Byatarayanapura police limits.
