The Srinagar Police has stepped up its campaign against drug trafficking, booking six well-known drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS Act). This significant move was shared on X, where the police named the culprits: Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Abid Rasool Dar, Raza Rauf Mirjan, Azan Parviaz Glitsaaz, Javaid Ahmad Wani, and Danish Ahmad Bhat. Formal detention orders were secured from the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, based on comprehensive dossiers prepared by the police.
