The Reserve Bank on Monday raised the minimum capital requirement for small finance banks to Rs 200 crore and permitted Payments Bank to upgrade as SFBs.
Significantly, veteran leader B.S. Yediyurappa — who had limited his appearances at the BJP office to core committee meetings — was seen at the party headquarters for two consecutive days. Sources suggest that Shah, during his closed-door interactions, advised the Lingayat strongman to become more active in state affairs and guide the party from the front.
