In a heated session of the Lok Sabha, proceedings were halted after members of the DMK vocally protested comments made by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Pradhan had labeled the Tamil Nadu government as "dishonest" regarding their stance on the Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme.
