‘No Entry’ to restaurants, malls for quarantine-stamped persons

Date:

Chief Secy’s order also applies to places of worship

BENGALURU:

With restaurants, hotels and malls gearing to reopen for business on June 8, Karnataka Chief Secretary T.M. Vijay Bhaskar has directed all these establishments to bar home quarantine-stamped persons from entering their premises before the completion of the prescribed quarantine period.

The Chief Secretary’s order reads: “All shops, offices, malls and commercial establishments should not allow those with a quarantine stamp to enter before the end of their quarantine period, or till they get a current Covid- negative test report.”

If anyone notices a violation of these requirements, they should call the police control room by dialling 100, the directive says.

The Chief Secretary’s order applies equally to places of worship, which are enjoined to check the home quarantine stamp before permitting worshippers to enter.
