Narcotics ring supplying drugs at Bengaluru parties busted: Cops

BENGALURU:

In a major development in the Karnataka drugs mafia case, the Bengaluru police have said they have busted a narcotics ring supplying drugs at parties in high-end apartments, with the arrests of 3 persons.

Bengaluru city police commissioner Kamal Pant tweeted from his official handle @cpblr: “@CCBBangalore probing the drug menace in Bengaluru have busted an organized narcotics ring where parties were held in hotels, resorts, private apartments etc., in & around Bengaluru…”

Another tweet read:”…Drugs were also made available in the parties, besides the liquor. In this regard, 3 persons have been arrested, including a clerk from the Transport Department.”

At a presser on Friday evening, Pant had revealed two arrests — Ravi Shankar, working as a clerk in the Jayanagar RTO office,  and Rahul Shetty, who is close ad of Sandalwood actress Sanjana Galrani. The third arrest made in Delhi was of Viren Khanna, Bengaluru- based party and event organiser who is known to host high-end parties.
