BBMP chief instructs officials to prepare road-widening DPR at the earliest
BENGALURU:
Following a joint inspection by 2 Karnataka ministers of the road-widening project near the Yeshwanthpur RTO complex, Horticulture and Programme Monitoring Minister Muniratna instructed the officials concerned to begin the work immediately.
He said the project was meant to ease traffic congestion and help citizens coming to the railway station and the market. Along with this work, a 400-bed Covid hospital is being set in the area, he said.
Minister for Higher Education Dr C Ashwath Narayan said the project would benefit the residents of the area.
BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta said officials had been instructed to prepare a detailed project report at the earliest.
The officials have been instructed to prepare and submit a detailed project report and the estimated cost. The project is taken up to ease the traffic congestion in the area.

Special Commissioners Basavaraju, Reddy Shankara Babu and Manoz Zain, Zonal Joint Commissioners Nagaraj and Shivaswamy, Engineer-in-Chief Prabhakar and Road Infrastructure Chief Engineer BS Prahallad were present.
