Minister praises gesture, asks other corporates to chip in
BENGALURU:
Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar, on behalf of the state government, received medical equipment, including HFNC and RT-PCR machines, donated by ExxonMobil and 3M in partnership with United Way Bengaluru, for government hospitals at a function at Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the medical equipment would be used to support coronavirus treatment at Victoria Hospital, the hospital in Chikkaballapur, the Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences, Shankara Hospital, the Ramanagara Covid hospital and the district hospital in Kodagu.
Applauding the gesture of ExxonMobil and 3M, he called upon corporates to join hands with the state government in the fight to contain the coronavirus by donating medical equipment and other necessary items.
Naveen Shukla, CEO, ExxonMobil Services & Technology Pvt Ltd, handed over 31 HFNC machines worth Rs 1.53 crore, 10 oxygen concentrators, 4 RT-PCR machines and 2,000 pulse oximeters meant for government hospitals
Suraj Melur Raman, Global Security Advisor at Exxon Mobil Corporation, and others were present on the occasion.
