CHIKMAGALUR:
A tragic incident unfolded in Malleshwar village of Kadur taluk, where a leopard attack resulted in the death of 17 sheep and 14 goats.
The unfortunate victims were the livestock owned by Chandru, Basavaraju, Manju, and Lakshman, residents of Malleshwar village. These animals were tied up in the farm house belonging to Sushilamma.
The loss incurred due to this devastating attack is estimated to be around 4 lakhs.
Upon receiving the distressing news, forest officials promptly visited the site to assess the situation. The area was thoroughly inspected, and a postmortem examination of the deceased sheep was conducted by veterinary doctor Umesh.
