After IT Raid, Contractor Ambikapati Dies of Heart Attack: Full Report Inside!

Prominent contractor Ambikapati R, a relative of former Karnataka Congress MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy, tragically passed away today due to a heart attack. This unfortunate event occurred at 6:00 pm. Last month, Ambikapati’s residence was raided by the Income Tax Department, resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of cash.

Ambikapati was immediately rushed to a hospital in Hebbal, where medical professionals pronounced him deceased upon arrival. His body has been transported to his Sultanpalya residence, from where his funeral procession will commence on Tuesday.

Speaking with TheBengaluruLive, former MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy shared that Ambikapati suffered a heart attack on Monday evening and was promptly taken to the hospital. Tragically, he was declared brought dead by the medical staff. The final rites for Ambikapati will be conducted on Tuesday, according to Murthy.

The Income Tax department recently made a significant discovery of Rs 42 crore at the residence of Ambikapati, the vice-president of the Karnataka State Contractors Association.

Upon questioning Ambikapati about the origin of the money, he claimed that a portion of it belonged to a former MLC of the Congress party.
