BENGALURU:
Two multi-storeyed buildings near the old Kapali theatre in the heart of the city’s Majestic area collapsed on Tuesday night.
A four-storey building housing a hotel and another smaller building collapsed after the Kapali theatre site was dug to a depth of nearly 80 feet for the foundation of a multiplex.
Fire department officials said the incident occurred around 9.45 pm. No casualties were reported as occupants in the nearby buildings were evacuated on Monday after the buildings developed cracks, said an official.
